How it Works?

1. How does Bidaroo work?

1. The highest unique (non duplicated bid) wins a Bidaroo auction. The highest bid is not the winner like in a typical auction. See question 3 for more details on what the highest unique bid means.

2. Every bid, either winning bid or losing bid, is charged the “Cost per Bid.” If the customer does not win the auction with the highest unique bid then the customer still loses the money he or she spent for each bid placed.

3. Your bid can not be higher than the Bidaroo price. Bidaroo caps the auction price to ensure our customers never pay more than 90% below retail for any products.

4. Shipping is Free when you win a Bidaroo auction.

5. A portion of all proceeds are donated to select charities. On some auctions, 100% of net proceeds are donated.

6. We do not offer refunds on the “Cost per Bid.” We cannot give refunds on these bids because refunding a bid could change the winner of the auction. We do have a 60 day refund policy on products won on Bidaroo.com. If you win an auction and within 60 days want to return the product, we will kindly refund your winning bid amount.

2. Why is a portion of all proceeds donated to charity?

The founder had Ewing Sarcoma cancer and therefore charity is very important to him and Bidaroo. Bidaroo's main goal for its creation was to help find a cure for cancer as well as donate to charitable organizations that help us and our families. Let’s make a difference!

3. What does Highest Unique Bid mean?

The closest bid to the Bidaroo Price that is NOT the same as anyone else's. If your bid is NOT the same and it is the highest bid closest to the Bidaroo price then your bid is the Highest Unique bid. You should bid a price you think no one else will bid!
The following is an example of the highest ten bids in one of our auctions with a maximum Bidaroo Price is set to $100:

The bidder who placed the bid of $99.98 would be the highest unique bid and therefore the winner of the Bidaroo auction.

4. How much is Shipping?

FREE! Shipping is always free unless otherwise stated.

5. What is my User ID?

Your User ID is your email address.

7. What is Bidaroo.com?

Bidaroo.com is the internet website of Bidaroo LLC, an Indiana company, which manages and implements private auctions, designed to raise money for selected charities and member non-profit fundraising organizations through the Internet.

8. What is a hint on winning?

Yes we can now offer you a hint! Remember, there is skill to Bidaroo.com

Look at past winning bid amounts. These amounts occur because some people have only been bidding once or twice on auctions. Therefore, several winning bid amounts close to the Bidaroo price are left unique. A great hint is to spread the field with multiple bids in a row. When customers use this strategy, they find themselves becoming the unique bidder more often.

9. When do Bidaroo auctions close?

Bidaroo auctions now close within a certain amount of time, when a certain amount of bids have been placed, or an estimated amount of time.

10. If I have questions, who do I contact and how long does it take to get a response?

We like to respond within an hour or two. However, currently all our customer service representatives are volunteers so please expect us to respond within 1 -2 business days. Also, please make sure to check the “How it Works” tab because most answers should be found there.

11. What are tokens?

Tokens are like gift cards or credits on Bidaroo.com. Tokens are worth 1 penny each so if you have 100 tokens left then you have $1 to spend on Bidaroo.com. 1,000 tokens equals $10, etc.
